#lkie Great shot! The water looks amazingly clear there.
Yeah very clear, that shot taken from a cliff so quite far away. Seems seals have vey good hearing. If I spoke they looked up.

I have a rule, if the Suns out , I go to the beach. On the Island the Sun can disappear in a matter of minutes, fortunately you are never far from a beach.

There is a strong network effect on social media. I like Peepeth, but most of my friends are still on Facebook.
True, but Facebook is dangerous to its users and even to non users

Sorry I just ignore the guy, if you search you should find stuff, heβs been ranting on bitcoin for years, now he seems to have picked up a fascination for Vitalik. The concept discussed in the article is described in stuff Nassim Taleb writes about.

I read some of his report and want to read the rest. So far, I haven't found any independent research, just opinion and citations from Bloomberg and other newspapers.

It strikes me that we have all the knowledge and technology we need to feed, clothe, and house every person on earth, while at the same time protecting the planet, our home. So the question is, given this ability, why don't we do that?
Dunno we spend it all on silly sports events and surveillance because you know money laundering etc etc
Bitcoin is amazing because it creates an unforgeable unique digital asset. Blockchains allow for credible commitments. That in turn allows for better outcomes in situations where coordination is required.
