I'm afraid I'd burn out before fishing my own, plus, I don't see myself that skilled with hammer and saw π However, I do plan to gradually go that way. Next vehicle could be 4x4 with a roof tent...to reach where no bicycle has reached before ππ
I like the 4x4 idea! Was considering renting one awhile ago. My ideal is still a van as I'd like to be able to live out of it relatively comfortably for extended periods.

Those are question marks for me too. But seems like some people can "finish" their builds within a month, and everything I've read says that the carpentry / wiring involved is pretty easy once you get into it.

Yeah I'm buying new trousers and drilling a new hole on my belt.
I tried to redeem myself at the gym just now. Better than nothing, but it'll take awhile to work off the holiday gains :) πͺπ°π΄

Judging from the number of views on "van life" YouTube videos, it seems to be a popular fantasy. Do you think you'd convert your own, or get one pre-built?

can you send me the StackTrace or perhaps even open an issue? Thanks for trying it out - there are still some rough edges hence I did not yet release it to the public or even provide an apk. Hope to be able to release beginning next year - testing helps - thanks!
Let me know if I can help :)

Welcome afzal. Peepeth is definitely an experiment, and I hope it proves useful.

@veox Posting first peep might be buggy with #PeepDroid.
Note to all: @ligi has built the peepdroid client despite the fact that there is no real server API (at least not one made for third party clients), which is very impressive.

I'm happy to donate to https://peepeth.com/malaria, but is there some way to do it without a card? Can we use crypto?
Thanks for asking. I and others have contacted them a number of times, but no dice; they need a service like Bitpay. Considered providing that service myself but unsure about the tax implications.

Iβm happy to be joining this community and excited to learn more about this innovative, accountable, value-driven ecosystem. Thank you for sharing this journey with me. Principles based on Thich Nhat Hanhβs five mindfulness trainings? Count me in.
Thanks for joining Ko π
...and for sharing a glimpse of your tiny home. I've fantasized about a similar arrangement (converted van).
Thanks @kumaran for buying a (super) Mosquito badge!
AMF has been consistently ranked the most effective charity worldwide by GiveWell.org and other charity evaluators. It doesn't cost much to prevent real suffering.
Thanks @DaveAppleton for buying a (super) Mosquito badge!
Malaria is an important, neglected, and tractable problem. Donating to the Against Malaria Foundation is an exceptionally effective way to prevent suffering.
1/6 Giving to effective charities not only helps to prevent suffering, but can make us happier, improve our health, and is contagious. https://greatergood.berkeley.edu/article/item/5_ways_giving_is_good_for_you
2/6 One way to give is to buy a Mosquito badge on Peepeth. Having one enables extra features (like Markdown support), boosts you in the follower suggestions, and give you serious Peepeth cred. Buy a Mosquito badge by donating $25 to the Against Malaria Foundation, a top charity.
3/6 Donate in the next 20 hours to get a SUPER mosquito badge. The Double Up Drive https://doubleupdrive.com is matching donations for the next ~20 hours. Peepeth will also send you an Authenticity Badge, which enables extra features (normally $25, minted in ~Feb).
4/6 To get one: donate >= $25 to the Against Malaria Foundation via the Peepeth donation page https://peepeth.com/malaria before the cutoff time, and send the receipt (minus the link to your private donations page) toΒ receipts@doubleupdrive.com and CCβing peepeth.donations@gmail
5/6 Offer ends Saturday, Dec 29, @12 noon California, 3pm NYC, 8pm UK.
Appreciate everyone's support! π
6/6 To learn why the Against Malaria Foundation is consistently ranked one of the most effective charities, see their GiveWell page: https://www.givewell.org/charities/amf

Aomori apples. These are the cheap ones, the ones we buy, but they're still the best I've ever had. Unbelievable. I'm not an apple person. But the Japanese really, really know how to grow good apples. $1/each here, $8/each in Taiwan.
Yet another reason to visit Japan ππ#lkie

Thank you, Bevan! That's awesome! How does the hotpot taste? Well, I'm in Nigeria at the moment, enjoying some quality time with my grandad and doing some research. I had some Nigeria-style jollof rice :)
Enjoy! Jollof rice and family time sounds great. I actually spent Christmas in Benin City, Nigeria about 3 years ago. I'll peep some pictures of the hotpot (about to have it)!

A short article on cyclists π΄π΄ and trust people feel towards them caught my eye in this month's WarmShowers newsletter. And there's more to be read/seen at https://milesofportraits.com/ I can just confirm what's written below π #cycling
I've experienced this too. Maybe people recognize that you're more vulnerable on two wheels and are therefore more eager to help. Not to mention the support from other bikers if you get a flat etc...
