Has anyone looked at Token Curated Registries https://medium.com/@ilovebagels/token-curated-registries-1-0-61a232f8dac7?
Thanks for sharing! Hadn't seen that. Fixing the link-posting bug :)

Love the sea.
Love this pic, thanks for sharing. Yes, there should be a "like" that's not monetary. In the works.

Hey peeps, today is a snow day!! #noschool #winterstormtoby #foureaster
I guess there is an upside to the bad weather in NYC! Enjoy!

@Bevan - awesome work! I appreciate the chance to "kick the wheels" in beta. I love what I see and all your hard work is evident. I do have some ideas - you want them all in the open via several peeps... or email? Oh, and please do tell when I can write about your project!
Your advice is really appreciated, I'll be implementing some of your suggestions today. Thank you!

Ok... so having a human look over the flags is probably good. :-) Are the flags stored publicly on the blockchain in case other devs would like to use them too... or are those only available to this front end? What if I forget to tag my post nsfw? Hmmm
Good points! Flags are not on the blockchain, but I could expose an API for other front-ends (btw, peepeth dot org will help others set up their own front-ends). Have added nsfw toggling to my todo list.

Would like the option to follow while hovering over a user name/image. The "unlawful" description for the post flagging feature seems a little more strongly worded than the "nsfw" use case discussed earlier. More verification methods... can't wait to hear more!
Some things will be removed from the front-end completely (illegal material), while merely "nsfw" material will be hidden by default with a warning. I'll add two options for flagging. Thanks for the reminder!

I love the flagging feature. Coming from Leeroy.io - that's something I had talked about many times. How many users need to flag it for the flag to "stick" - is there any way to unflag it? What happens if a single user uses flagging to systemically silence things they don't like?
Thanks for the feedback. Flagging is pretty unsophisticated right now; it just notifies an admin, who can then toggle it. I'll make it automated soon.
Welcome, @CallMeGwei! Thanks for your thoughtful suggestions! I'll be implementing some of them today.
Hey @GiantRobot, thanks for signing up! Any suggestions appreciated :)
Have updated the front page (/welcome). It's more to-the-point now. Any thoughts welcome.
This Facebook fiasco could be a boon for Peepeth. Probably a good time to share it more widely.

Yes, that's a great idea. Yunfei (from our class at Midd) did that. He got Dutch citizenship a few years ago I think. I wouldn't mind living in Amsterdam but the weather is tough! It was freezing when we were there. And snowing!
Cool that he did that! Yeah, the weather is an issue. Spoiled here in the Bay Area.
I think once you get residency there, you can move pretty much anywhere in the Schengen area, although that may be changing.

No, I was in Germany, Paris, and Amsterdam! @Bevan
So cool. I really want to spend more time over there. Been looking into possibly getting residency in the Netherlands; one of the few places where that's relatively easy for Americans.

Wow, sounds fun! It's good I just got back from Europe for spring break! We're getting ready for another big storm in NYC apparently
Jealous! Of spring break, not the storm :) Did you go back to Italy?
Great writeup; may 2018's market evolve as sunnily!
@keith this was the article I mentioned about price / trading volumes.

How do we prevent harassment and impersonation on peepeth?
Re harassment: there'll soon be a "mute user" feature, and one that lets you self-censor based on terms. Right now there's a flag feature for posts. All questionable Peeps should be tagged #nsfw, or else users can flag them as such. Any other ideas welcome.

How do we prevent harassment and impersonation on peepeth?
Good question. Impersonation: the social media verification should help with that. The Twitter icon links to the Twitter profile the user has proven control of. Various other verifications are coming soon.

I am not so keen on "Build a meaningful digital legacy on the blockchain.". Microblog (peep) where no company or government controls your peeps.
Thanks for the feedback. I'll be emphasizing that latter point more.
I've changed the front page copy (/welcome) to make it more appealing to non-crypto people. Would appreciate feedback. The old one is at /old_intro
Welcome @hannah! Today's a great day for Peepeth.

I use twitter predominantly on mobile, I want to do the same with peepeth. What method do you use for signing? As want toshi and cipher to support.
I'll look into this. Metamask provides a special API endpoint for signing; I'll see if Toshi / cipher offer signing but I suspect they do not yet.

Parity seems to be working fine.
Thanks for the heads up Keith.

Toshi and Trust apps don't show a signing dialog. Cipher Browser does, and I get to sign the auth code but get a peep error "There was a problem signing you in"
Wow- thanks for trying out those browsers!
Sign-in probably only works with MetaMask at the moment (not sure though- @keith, did you try signing in with Parity?)
Plan to soon integrate MetaMascara, so Peepeth will work with any normal mobile browser.

Thanks. I wanted to signup on mobile but had to switch to desktop.
Thanks; will investigate. Did you receive an error?
There should be a warning message that "Peepeth works best on your desktop", but it should still let you proceed.
Also should warn you if Metamask not installed (because sign-in feature may not work on other web3 providers).

The Times 15/Mar/2018 Lonely male albatrosses pair up as females go in search of food.
A reliable source has told me that copies of this edition are still available for purchase (hard to believe though it is).
Just added hashtags. Now the party can really start.
If / when Peepeth gets 1000 users, I'm buying a box of these.
Until then: #disciplineEqualsFreedom

Hey @Bevan! Neoreach hosted an event where district0x participated. I like that project and it was cool to learn more from the folks involved. Good to get some cool swag too.
Cool, I wanna check it out next year. How was the crypto scene in general? Crypto meetups seem to be drawing much smaller crowds now...
@Keith, how was SXSW this year, any favorite parties / events / goat yoga sessions?
@clehene Thanks for signing up. Looking forward to seeing your future projects! All suggestions welcome.
How can a social media app encourage users to generate meaningful content? Thoughts appreciated.
