Haven't done a ton, either. Will be following one soon for DevOps, and currently studying React. Best I ever did was WHM 10 week course: https://www.wimhofmethod.com/elearning - it got me into yoga, improved my sleep, mindset, focus, happiness, and much more in a no frills way.
Cool, I've heard of him and his "method" before. Thought it was mostly cold-exposure based. Will check it out, thanks for recommending.

Thanks for offering Ensō! And for this, a hawk moth chrysalis I guess.
Wow, didn't know moths could get that big. Also known as "Elephant hawk moth".
Thanks for peepin', all. Really appreciate the emails.
On the other side of the glass. #squirrelsofpeepeth
From the garden today. Anyone know what this is? A butterfly chrysalis?

What are your favourite video courses? (I promise, I won't go out and buy all of them ;) Also regarding wish-list-ing, this chapter from "Anything You Want" by one of my all time favourite humans, Derek Sivers, comes to mind: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ehWlVeMrqw
I've read that book many times. +1 for that chapter, too.
As far as courses, I wouldn't say I have any favorites. Usually these are just to brush up on various tools. Would love to do less practical ones.
How about you?

Here’s a question I wonder about: how would a “decentralized Twitter” like Peepeth block scam accounts impersonating others - the stuff you constantly see on Twitter today?
Am hoping the verifications (only Twitter badge currently) will allow people to create trust by linking their other online identities. URL verifications will be coming.

Haha, love it. This is also an interesting development:

In a dilemma, want to keep peepin, but approaching 15 unsaved actions and it looks like avg gas price to get through network is over 8 gwei! I mean its not a lot of money, but I'm baller on a budget here :)
Yes, it's bad now! Working on that problem. Anyone know what's causing the spike?

I don’t know if we could grow enough strawberries. Our strawberry plant doesn’t produce our volume. I think home grown for herbs and chillis would meet our needs.
I attempted to build something like their "Wall Farm" model in college (basically, small bookshelf size). The plan was to grow strawberries hydroponically. It's possible but was more effort and expense than I'd planned for. May try again if I move to cold place. @keith @hannah

I was thinking egg carton style using recycled paper. Nice
Wondering why these aren't more popular; guessing they don't sell as well. Would be interesting to see what variations have been tried (colors, etc) and how much that affects buying decisions.

How was it? I saw this on a sidewalk advertisement the other day, and heard several passers-by saying "oh, they have the Impossible Burger!". Didn't know it was a thing. Good branding!

Mmh fair enough. On 2nd thought, I'm going to skip buying it until I get through my current online courses & books. I've leaned too far towards buying books & educational resources 'just in case' - then never getting around to utilizing them. Video courses & audiobooks... (1/2)
I've learned this lesson too. It's easy to go on shopping sprees and buy a bunch of books that I never read / listen to / are duds. I try to add to my Wish List, and come back when my queue is more empty. +1 for video courses; Udemy is great, but many free ones are good too.

Scary. Dengue:
"Every year, it infects 50 to 100 million people around the world. It also causes half a million hospitalizations[1] and about 12,500 to 25,000 deaths around the world each year."

Can anyone assist with twitter verification? I reread all steps to make sure I wasn’t crazy but it seems to not be working.
Hey Brad, have refunded you the fee + gas. The full verification message must be in your Tweet; I need to make the instructions more clear. If you try again, click the "this message" link on the verification screen to see and copy the full verification msg (includes your address)
Thanks for peepin', all. Really appreciate the advice and suggestions.

Guess what? Together we've bought 450+ long-lasting insecticidal bed nets, which will statistically prevent much future suffering.
# of nets is now tracked on the stats page: https://peepeth.com/stats

One thing I would suggest is only have peeps go to twitter, not replies - right now peeps AND replies are going to my twitter. I don't mind if my peeps go there (that's why I set it up to do so), but replies on peepeth shouldn't, since they end up on twitter with no context.
This should now be fixed, thanks for the reminder.

Yeah, probably a good idea! :) Although when I was a kid my dad told me to chew on the leafless branches in the winter, supposedly to build up a tolerance. He and I never got poison oak in the summer, while the rest of our family (who didn't chew it) was extremely allergic. DYOR
Interesting!
"The Mahuna Indians of California steeped dried poison oak roots in water and drank the resulting decoction as a preventive against future allergic reaction to the plant."

Good call. Will be fixing this soon, and unchecking "Tweet" for replies.
In the meantime, you can manually uncheck the "Tweet" checkbox for replies (in the peep form). Also in the settings, there's a "Tweet by default" checkbox.
