As the creator of lkie I agree that it is a bit dumb. I would prefer a reaction or even an emoji than a hashtag.
A solution is coming. Thanks for everyone's patience!

How were my peeps against the TOS? I said "Screw Kavanaugh". That is as hostile as any of my peeps have been. If this is against the TOS then you are going to have an impossible time regulating Peepeth if it scales. Also, I thought peeps lasted forever?
Peepeth.com is a moderated front end that can choose what to display. The focus here is mindful engagement. The standard has to be made more clear, and features are coming to help with that.

@bevan Thank you for sharing my Peep! Hope you’ve had a great weekend, man!
Thanks! You too. It was busy, but got out and explored Freiburg a little. Beautiful weather the last few days.

Do they store the links to the image on the blockchain then? 🤔
If you inspect a peep's IPFS contents, you'll see the IPFS hash for the image it contains.

Are uploaded images also stored in the Ethereum blockchain, or on IPFS?
They're stored on both. AWS is for performance reasons.

@bevan Is there a non-HTML endpoint for to verify a signed secret? It seems /verify_signed_secret.js returns HTML on success and failure.
There is not; most of the Peepeth.com functionality is pretty tightly coupled with the DOM as you've discovered. Have emailed @ligi.

Is it just me, or do all the major life events (ups, downs, wins, losses - often all at the same time) tend to cram themselves into tiny periods of time, with the rest of day-to-day life being mundane, processual & largely ignored? Creating newness each day is the real challenge…
I've found this too. And agree about the difficulty of injecting novelty into your normal life. Voluntarily breaking your patterns on a regular basis is easier said than done.

I have some great news to announce: I'm joining a startup offering performance-based advertising (i.e. app installs) for dapps. As part of this, I'm moving to Chiang Mai in Oct (I was offered remote work, but I like to commit 100% to projects) Also went skiing for the 1st time:
Congrats James, that's awesome! Moving to Chiang Mai sounds like a perk to me :)

@rdbilly @tyson Your latest peeps, well-intentioned though they are, violate the TOS. In the future, such posts will be removed. Leaving them now so the standard is clear.

@bevan is the eth / USD calculator working properly? Doesn't seem to request the correct amount of ether (too small) but sticks you in the correct category.....
Thanks for reporting. I just checked the conversion rate and it seems up-to-date.
Do you mean on the gas station? If so, the gas station only shows data about the gas costs, and not the actual transaction value (I should make that more clear).

They call it 4D I think, but that sounds silly and inaccurate, so I prefer describing the technology (they also shake the chairs when action requires it). Seriously though these special effects work well with a story that is less about language and more about nature and senses.
Cool. I have seen "4D" advertised but thought it was just shaking chairs. Does the water soak everyone's popcorn? :)

Alpha (2018) movie is really good choice for family cinema time. It's for the first time when I felt that the 3D effects & the water and air jets are adding to the cinematography not distracting or covering for other faults. 5/5 https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/alpha_2018
Water and air jets in the theater? Didn't know that was a thing. Thanks for the review!
