@Bevan regarding twitter cross-posting: https://twitter.com/pedrouid/status/1043167715463028736 - perhaps just removing the "@" is a nice first step ..-?
Thanks for the suggestion!

@bevan Feature request: link 'secondary addresses' to an account, so that we can login from other browser or mobile without sharing wallet/seed. If you go open source with the client, would be happy to help out!
Appreciate your willingness to support!

4 months ago, I knew we need to be faster than #ElonMusk and his #pravda news website. Today we are faster. Our prototype launched at trudia.org this morning! #trustmedia Additional info: https://medium.com/trudia/decoding-fake-news-trudia-org-prototype-out-today-c97c5f240b25
Congrats on launching! A very worthy and difficult problem. Looking forward to your progress.

Hello!!!! First peep - I am number #2963. I am excitrd. I feel like I am on the ground floor of the future! Now that the Inspired first quote is complete.....what does "Lock now" check box do lol? Glad to be connected people!
Hey Sean! Welcome to the peeposphere. If you check the "lock now" checkbox, your peep will be saved to the blockchain immediately (but will cost you gas fees). If you don't check it, you can peep up to 15 times before saving those peeps to the blockchain in one transaction.

A walk in the Patagonian mountains. It started very sunny and warm. A few hours later, I was surrounded by deep snow and unable to continue walking. I camped in the only patch not covered in white. Being alone in the middle of nature. Priceless.
Amazing. Thanks for sharing! #lkie

@Bevan it might be nice to be able to see if there will be a preview for a link before posting (or an indication that there will not be one). That way, we can either give more context or choose an alternative link which will properly display a preview.
Thanks for the suggestion, have added this to the list :)

Thanks Bevan! The concert was phenomenal! Drake hung out by us a lot, and kept telling the rest of the 17,000 people to get hyped like we were! Haha. Drake performed greatly, and our spot right next to the stage made the night nearly perfect.
Sweet! Sounds like a great show. I liked this opening sequence: https://youtu.be/lJTRVX9R5EA

That sounds good! 👌🏻 Do you plan to abandon current techniques to hide posts on your centralised client? By the way, any chance that client will be open-source at some point in future?
Moderation will always be a necessity here (and everywhere else). If you mean the politics feature, that (like all others) is an experiment that will probably change. Peepeth's focus is particular and demands trying different things. This client probably won't be o-s.

I have seen Peepeth advertised as unstoppable microblogging. Im not in favour of fully unmoderated discussion space. Did you considered implementing reputation & moderation system in decentralized way?
Yep! Something like that is in the works, thanks for asking.

Yet, lots to improve in cryptocurrency space. I hope that fully decentralised and open source platforms will emerge. Huge disadvantages of ETH smart contracts are centralised interfaces, allowing owners to manipulate.
Peepeth is about promoting mindful, non-toxic discourse online. The decentralized datastore provides transparency, data portability, and more. There are purpose-built "anything-goes" sites like Gab and Minds, but that's not Peepeth's focus.
Making this more clear :)

I haven’t deeply looked at IPFS, it seems great, but it is not based on any token, therefore what is the incentive to participate in the network and share your server in ipfs network?
It's a cool technology indeed. It will eventually be incentivized with a token though (Filecoin).

It can be, but poltical correctness is cancer of modern age. Controling emotions is very important for self improvement, perhaps good exercise for some people. Hiding posts by default is not solution whatsoever.
If political correctness is cancer of the modern age, I'd say we're doing pretty good :)
I agree with the sentiment though. That feature doesn't have to do with political correctness or political views, but is rather an acknowledgement that many people don't like politics.

Yes, I should have worded that differently. I was letting my human emotions get the better of me. I have noticed that the Peepeth log in Statement has changed since I pointed out that Peepeth was not uncesorable. Not sure if that is a coincidence or not. :)
It did change (if you mean Coinbase Wallet's dapp description, which was indeed misleading).

Does anyone know what messageID is in there? I think ipfsHash is the hash for the message - really unsure about messageID as the ipfsHash is kind of the messageID as far as I see - any hint @bevan ? tip(address _author,string _messageID,uint256 _ownerTip,string _ipfsHash)
The messageID the IPFS hash of the message you'd like to tip, and the ipfsHash is the message you'd like to send along with the tip.

184 MPH is the new Bicycle Speed Record, reached this weekend by 45yo Denise Mueller-Korenek. We had the fountain of youth all along - it's the cycling buzz! https://www.bicycling.com/news/a23281242/denise-mueller-korenek-breaks-bicycle-speed-record/

You can also use it - it is part of the material icons: https://material.io/tools/icons/?search=gift&icon=card_giftcard IMHO it makes it a bit more international (and also I did not find a dollar bill under the correct license in a vector format ;-)
There will be other gifting options as well, so it fits nicely.
