Was reminded at the Museum of London just how much of human history is sheer suffering. Pretty much the whole exhibit was "how kings kept their heads and peasants managed suffering" up until the industrial revolution. To say I'm grateful for modern life is an understatement.

I've been to the Philippines several times (when I lived in China), but the best time was when I went alone, and in a January. Beaches were much more sparse and there was a level of camaraderie among the people there.

I am so moved to look on the postings made when we were just starting out here on Peepeth in 2017-2018. It was a time of massive life transition for me and I am grateful to have this record and all the positive commentary from the community. Good to be back!

There is not yet a native Peepeth app (though at least one was in the works) - most people are using Trust or Coinbase wallet, afaik.

So, let's talk about friction... Last time I was on Peepeth I set up MetaMask in Brave to interface with my hardware wallet. I migrated my Peepeth handle to an address controlled by the hardware wallet... I was feeling quite secure. (And rather oblivious to how complicated that sounds... but that's another story.) I haven't really peeped since. Moral of the story - friction is good when it comes to an identity, but with the delegate feature of Peepeth you can have your cake and eat it too.

Incidentally, I love how quoted Twitter tweets get embedded inline in the Peepeth interface. Between this and the "peep and tweet at the same time" feature, great way to erode network effect moats all around! #TearDownThatWall
