I've been there but got nothing for you unfortunately; make sure to eat some Taiwanese snacks, bubble tea, Japanese noodles or grilled foods, and/or hit a night market. Have fun!

Been working on this painting for a few weeks. My nephew Henry and niece Susannah. I just can't be satisfied with certain aspects, but at some point you have to declare your project finished. Hope they like it (one day!). :)

I don’t know if we could grow enough strawberries. Our strawberry plant doesn’t produce our volume. I think home grown for herbs and chillis would meet our needs.
I find growing anything besides mint to be more work than expected. But so rewarding when it does grow. Excited to get to a place where I can garden again. Even indoor hydroponics is a turn-off because of China's air quality.

Since it’s raining......again. I think I’ll start on making this old basement look a little bit better. Some paint on the steps and some other little things will have it looking great. I also love these old stone walls, circa 1818.
It's so nice to see old stuff preserved. Looking forward to the progress.

Thanks for the love everyone. And thanks for listening through. Yeah if you get dengue twice it's pretty deadly -- not like other diseases where you are immunized after having it. So I think twice before going to tropical areas these days.

almond flour is wonderful. i've used it a lot to make gluten-free products. coconut flour is great too, if you can get a hold of it. from a professional baking perspective this recipe seems pretty solid: https://www.fatforweightloss.com.au/recipe/keto-bread/
I aim for ketosis majority of the time, breaking when I’m travelling — which is often. So I’m a big almond flour fan. Those living in the US — what’s the savings rate on making your own versus purchasing? Sounds potentially significant. PS I can’t stand coconut flour. :(

Yeah the headband is by Unequal, and I used to just wear it playing sports, but now wear it whenever I have a headache. It works for me.

Thanks for the shoutout. Am utterly nonplussed by the author’s neglect of culture. And is he actually saying the US is following in Japan’s footsteps? More likely all post-industrial nations are following a general shared path than another’s footsteps. What do you think?
