Sounds like it could be a really good resource, especially for those of us in the blockchain space that have to deal with cryptography. Thanks, I've bookmarked it for future reference.

Yep, I feel dumb every time I try to follow an ethresear.ch post with complex formula in it. Gotta work on that!

Just started reading "A Programmer's Introduction to Mathematics". Judging by the title, it's *the* book I've been dreaming of for years! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1727125452

Wish they had a "disable allowance" button for the tokens. Once you withdraw from the system, it's still technically enabled. Say there was a bug in the contracts, and one's funds could be "pulled back" into the system against their will...

Yes, that sounds like an important hurdle to overcome before I'll put my life savings into it :)

I know I'm late to the party but I just tried out @compoundfinance There's something truly magical about lending out DAI and watching your collected interest go up block by block! #OpenFinance #DeFi #MagicInternetMoney

Great read on the concept of nurseries to deal with concurrency.

https://vorpus.org/blog/notes-on-structured-concurrency-or-go-statement-considered-harmful/

It's language agnostic (even though examples are Python based).

Absolutely massive info graphic on the Ethereum 2.0 Serenity design. Great job!

Highly recommend to read the incident report on EIP-1283 by @trailofbits It's very well written and gives really good insight.

So, over the years many active members of the bitcoin community moved on to other projects (including Ethereum) and the remaining ones are mostly busy taking about Ethereum. What does it say about a community if it doesn't have topics of its own anymore that keep them engaged?

That's a great article highlighting the new possibilities that are coming with the CREATE2 opcode that is coming with the new Constantinople Upgrade.

Oh wow. I resisted to try out @cent so far but mostly only because I fear of more social media killing my productivity. Now I couldn't resist any longer and tried it and...yay! I can imagine becoming addicted to that! ๐Ÿ˜‚

As much as I love @brave I'm now trying out @opera as my default browser on mobile because the Ethereum /web3 integration just rocks. Previously I used trust wallet for @peepethApp which was still slightly annoying. New @opera feels frictionless. Waiting for @brave to catch up.

Dec 12, 2018 07:12

Woah! Look at this! The latest @opera mobile has an @ethereum wallet integrated. Full web3 support. This is me peeping through Opera! โœจ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿ“ข New Lahja release 0.10.0 is out.

- ๐Ÿš€ Benchmarks
- โš™ make request API accept a BroadcastConfig

This is a minor release that allows reducing some "wasted" traffic on the EventBus. Take it while it's ๐ŸŒถ

With decentralized stablecoins like DAI, a crypto currency that tries to encourage spending (world money) and collecting (long term investment) *at the same time* just doesn't make much sense to me. I'm not buying groceries with my company shares either.

Nov 17, 2018 07:59

Great article explaining stablecoins. https://blog.coinmarketcap.com/2018/11/16/stablecoin-overview-a-condensed-version/ Seems like the natural evolution of digital money and the main reason why I don't believe in "buy-early-this-will-become-world-money-and-make-you-rich-coins"
