I need a drink. Or 2. Or 20. 🍸
Lesson learned: never short futures during a bull cycle. It's a bad idea.

I'm launching my blog today! I'm going to be releasing my own short, practical notes on cognitive biases for each of the next 60 days. Enjoy! https://bevanbarton.com/blog
I'm actually working on a presentation about the COVID-19 infodemic, and I actually go over cognitive biases and logical fallacies! I'd love any input you can provide if you're open to it!

True. Although pumpkin soup is delicious! So too is curry with pumpkin.
I'll definitely have to try those! I've had pumpkin pie and other pastries but pumpkin soup sounds pretty good!
Pumpkins are such weird fruit. If they were just a tidbit more appetizing, we probably wouldn't waste them so much by doing almost everything except eating them. Think about it: is there any other fruit primarily used as decoration more than as food?
Remember the days when Chuck Norris was a popular internet meme?
This election, one way or another, we're all going to need a drink or two.
My Favorite Proverb:
"If you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes."
In other words: actions have consequences. No one is invincible to this principle.
Ever notice how the people who make such a fuss about 2nd Amendment Rights because they're "scared of having their guns taken away" are typically the same ones most likely to misuse them?
The biggest breakthrough in modern medicine will be the day "stupidity" can be cured.
Stop for a moment. Just take a minute to be still. Let yourself feel aware of your surroundings and be present in this period of time. Time flies when you're busy trying to live. But how often do you let yourself take a moment to just be alive?
If life is a game, then people are either one of two components: players or the pieces. You have to learn how to take control lest you find yourself under someone else's.
If you need to cry, that's okay. Let your emotions go. Sometimes we have to feel the pain we bottle up in order to overcome it. Shedding tears does not make you weak or less of a person. It's a sign that you're human and that you have a heart. And that, in itself, is beautiful.
