@austingriffith How did the burner wallet work out in Denver? Rumors on other websites seem to suggest well!

Sounds like it went well! Thanks

Anyone tried baking baguettes before? Any good tricks? I've been doing a few batches just to see if I can demystify the process. One trick I found is using a razor blade instead of a bread lame to score saves you from buying a bread lame.

How would you recommend someone accept ETH if they are selling t-shirts online? Are there any reliable ready-made ways to do this?

If anyone was curious what the digits in a decimal degree signify: https://gis.stackexchange.com/questions/8650/measuring-accuracy-of-latitude-and-longitude "The ninth decimal place is worth up to 110 microns: we are getting into the range of microscopy."

Aren't the subunits of lat and long in base 60 - like time? Did some googling of my own: 1 degree of latitude is about 69 miles, but there are 60 arcminutes (~1.15 mi) in a degree, and 60 arcseconds (~101 ft) in an arcminute. Then maybe you can do arc nanoseconds (~30 nm)

Living near the ocean I see "Only rain goes down the drain" painted near sewer drains to discourage chemical waste from entering the water. There's also: "If it's yellow let it mellow" which encourages water economy. Any peeple know other moral or ethical guidelines that rhyme?

Is anyone else excited about MLB crypto collectibles?! Looks like a great project and excited to the majors getting involved!!

I don't mean that to be an accusation - an auction reserve is common practice. I just mean it means they aren't getting cheap enough for me to buy. Also, the examples in the previous post were bad examples see: https://www.mlbcryptobaseball.com/asset/48

I was looking to snag a Dodger, but it looks a little bit like the owners might be buying and selling to themselves in order to prevent the dutch auction from going too low. (e.g. https://www.mlbcryptobaseball.com/sale/2233 and https://www.mlbcryptobaseball.com/asset/127)

Hey all! Wanted to share the Kickstarter draft (going live Monday!): https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1414168019/973361854?ref=547500&token=bb728eb4 Thoughts appreciated, here or via the Feedback button.

Are the kickstarter perks available to those who donate using eth?

I have a quip that extends the English translation of Descartes' "cogito ergo sum", which I may later want to prove is mine.

"I think, therefore I am;
I stink, therefore I'm man."

@Seth @abcoathup I just published the first New Era Proposal here: https://github.com/Mokens/MIPs/issues/4 What do you think?

I think the proposal as written is reasonable. Making them free to mint until you have some usage seems sensible to me!

Hi Nick, regarding the naming of the next moken era, I'd like to place a bid for "cambrian". The cambrian explosion is thought to be a period of rapid increase in biodiversity ~500mya due to animals entering the scene.

Two weeks ago, the editors of "The Nation" magazine issued an apology over a poem titled "How-To" written by Anders Carlson-Wee. Arguments surrounding the poem and the apology have made their way to the NYT and to the Atlantic. Do the members of Peepeth have thoughts on this?

How did you explain the difference between these services and the web with which he is more familiar?

Jul 19, 2018 18:27

What do peepers use for their desktop backgrounds? For the past few years, I have used Cy Twombly paintings and drawings on both my cellphone and computer. Currently my laptop features one from "Nini's Painting" and previously I used "Hero and Leandro Part 2"

Does anyone else have a feeling of nostalgia related to drinking dark soda left in a car in a parking lot under direct sunlight that warmed due to greenhouse enhanced solar heating? What other food allows the acridity sensitive region of your palate to carry the day?

Yes it was blind. I could not detect any difference

May I suggest a further research avenue? To save gas, I'll presume: The vending machine near me sells "smartwater sparkling". It claims: "purity you can taste" and "effervescence you can feel." Perhaps a mind tuned toward purity and effervescence can discern homeopathic nuance

And? Was it blind? Could you tell which was which visually, by taste, or by sound?

If you click a peep you'll see the ipfs hash in the URL. You can then query that from an ipfs gateway like ipfs.io/ipfs/hashhere

Good eye! If you look at the IPFS contents of your peep, you'll see an IPFS hash for the picture itself. Pics are replicated to AWS for better performance.

Where should I be looking for the IPFS contents? I've poked around a bit and haven't found them.

Jun 28, 2018 04:18

I noticed that the address from which images are served appears to be aws. How do I ensure they are accessible thru ipfs?

But what I'd really do with that zucchini is stir fry it with whatever you stir fry veggies with (but garlic would have to be involved) and have it over rice, with a clear soup side, and if yogurt must be involved, then for dessert.

I definitely saute the small ones with garlic, but I think these big boiz are a little too starchy and have to be processed a bit more.

Jun 20, 2018 05:08

Take a peep at what happens when you leave zucchinis to their own devices in the socal sun - during June gloom no less. If you ever find yourself here, zucchini yogurt soup is a painless way out. Anyone else got any out of the box Z recipes? These ones won't fit in a box.
