Sparrow Peep showed up again under "Show New Peeps". Not sure if showing up in Show New Peeps relates to my Mute but, it looks like Mute does not completely remove from my screen activity.
Did anyone besides me hear J Dorsey talk about a future Blockchain Twitter? I did... Seems like he has learned about PEEPETH. No mention of Peepeth when I was watching the hearings but, Dorsey's comment was interesting...

I believe that this maybe a known issue that needs to be resolved. Muting people is an important feature. Can you add to the feedback in the bottom right.

NB: the politics hashtag is opt-in. Please add it as a courtesy to others. All replies to political peeps are also hidden by default, with the same warning. It may look like people are tagging your posts, but they're just replying and tagging their own.
Bevan, I am not generating the tag or Opting-in I get it if someone wants to hide my comment after reading or may decide to Mute me (this is a great feature) but I would never block my own message. Tags should direct others to a particular message, but not flag a message IMHO!

Absolutely agree. I'm also made to feel like a criminal if I omit the politics hashtag. The hashtag hides your posts even if the subject of the thread moves away from politics. This is a misrepresentation and a form of censorship.
Bevan suggested un-moderated platforms Mind and GAB. I checked GAB and enrolled. Pretty neat platform. So sorry about PEEP. May not be for me but, I will give it a bit more time before make a decision as to my instant messaging protocol to use.

You don't have to do anything, when one is offered it means you already received it. @bevan "has offered you..." does imply a bit that some action is needed. "Has given you an Ensō" might be less misleading.

In my humble experience, tags are used for users to be directed to content in which one may have interest. Why use a "radioactive" icon? Seems a bit discriminatory IMHO... not very cool or positive...just saying... Mute/ Block makes sense..

There's no desire to silence anyone. The're only a desire to focus on positivity on this front end. More front ends will be rolling out shortly - common back end data stores for interoperability - that will have different focuses. Hang tight. Keep engaging. This is all evolving.
