down the advancing of Italian troops, one of the engineers who helped to build the bridge took down the middle section of the bridge (so it's easier to repair it after the war). The mission was successful, but the engineer was ultimately captured and killed at the same bridge.

I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by a lot of smart and experienced people who have made similar mistakes. And to have been recommended books like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dip. Time will tell if it's the right choice. Glad we're not starting at square one but rather, are already halfway there.
Many people recommended it, so I got it, but managed not to find time to read it. Will correct it.

I am so used to cameras from all angles, in and around #London. It does feel invasive at first, but to be fair, the amount of criminals caught using #CCTV cameras does make me somewhat "OK" with them. I'm not sure what could be used in lieu. #privacy
One could debate that cameras are a band-aid applied on a cut and while it does help with this particular cut, it will not prevent new ones from being made and the same mistakes made all over again.
It's not fixing the cause of the problem, but rather just the consequences.

I can but the store can't. They don't have the necessary tools yet and are years off from that. It's not like I'm in a rural part of America either. I'm in a major metropolis with millions of people. The stores just aren't adopting yet.
I'm not sure if in Europe the push for NFC POS terminals was initiated by the commercial banks or the CC companies, but I bet it was one of those and not the stores.

Had to pay with cash for groceries yesterday as my card decided not to work. Have to get down to the bank today to check my card. I can't wait to be able to pay with my phone for things with crypto. That might take a while still.
But now you can pay with your phone instead of your card. Have you considered going down that road?

There's too many employees at banks too. That money could be better invested in better systems and customer experience. I know of a woman who got pregnant while working at a bank (customer facing, i.e. filling out paperwork). She stayed there well into her pregnancy because the work was so low effort and chill... positive side, it helped her financially, but negative side, what kind of work is that?
In a better world she'd get paid and be at home during the pregnancy. There's that side too 😉

...principle, majority of population on Earth either doesn't have means to get a fraction of it or sheer knowledge to dive into it. And by the time they have what's missing to be called hodler, the price will be ridiculously high, they'll try jumping on the bandwagon and but ATH.
And then the whales will dump it on their FOMO heads and we've been seeing this happening several times so far. The rich are getting richer because they can afford to wait. The poor will always try to take a shortcut out of poverty.
To me, the idea of universal income is 🤘.

I'll read the article a bit later. From my current perspective I nominally disagree, at least not with BTC per se being the flag-bearer here. Like with everything else where the distribution is being based on the *first come - first serve* and later on *can afford - gets it*...

Every Friday I started writing haikus and sharing them with my colleagues as #haikuFriday series. They are usually inspired by our clients. The sweetest thing was to see colleagues coming up with their own verses 😊
The other day I was remotely troubleshooting a potentially dying HDD, but in the end its health was 100%.

I'm enjoying the retro-sounding Greta Van Fleet and I'm about to go to refuel myself.
