Oh cool! A fellow European. Latvia is so far ahead about all things digital. You are a living proof of that fact.
Since when is Latvia far ahead, I think I missed something xD

@bevan I love the idea behind the Ensō! It's neat that it can only be used once a day, which means that only the best peeps will get it. :)
Well to be fair I kinda often forget about my Ensō. Takes some time to get used to it

Peepeth has been relatively quiet today.
yeah not much action today
So today once again I looked at posts in facebook and other social medias. And then I understood why I like Peepeth. Unless in every other social media where everyone is offended and just wants to fight here you have a nice community.

Thought I also share a Design that I made a while ago, was originally for a crypto trading group that I had but now its just laying around 😂

Wow it's been a few days and I have yet to witness a single pointless debate, political rant, media driven topic, or any of the other deplorable social media traits we are all used to! Just people talking and having fun.im starting to like PeepEth already.
That's why I for example don't go on Facebook anymore. Ain't nobody got time for all that negativity.

I just want to fill up my 15th saved action so that I can save them in a block. This peep has nothing interesting. But I'll keep you reading until I have no more characters left. Hope you have/had a great day. You are a beautiful person. Acomplish something great. Love you. #OCD
I never get to 15, at max 11 I cant handle it anymore and have to save.
Saw this article from Cointelegraph and I must say this is one of the best and easiest explanations on Blockchain I have seen so far.
So today I checked out Minds the "The crypto social network" and have come to the conclusion that I like Peepeth a lot better.

So: Step 1: Hide IP with VPN Step 2: Create anonymous email to receive ppth invite Step 3: Create anon ETH account Step 4: Send anon ether to anon ETH account Step 5: Create anon ppth account and fund it from anon ETH account Step 6: Always hide VPN when using ppth
And always remove metadata from pictures, but yes basically. But I dont think it is worth it unless you plan doing something really shady.

Assuming I can fund a ppth account with anon eth, wouldn't my peeps be safe. No entity or organisation can force @bevan to reveal data because the data is decentralised, yes?
If you hide your IP and DNS, use an anonymous email, anonymous ether address, take out the metadata from pictures etc. there isn't even any data to reveal.

Do you think it's possible to stay anonymous on Peepeth and avoid private/governmental tracking?
Yes, but you have to do it from the very start, from the moment you register.

how can I move / login my peepeth account from Chrome / Desktop / Metamask to Cipher?
In MetaMask in Settings you can reveal the Seedwords I just restored the wallet with that in Cipher.

Ahh, @bevan addressed this issue previously on Hacker News https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=16816783
A lot of blackhat hacker and trolls sit on twitter because it is a matter of minutes to make an account that is not traceable. Of course if you remember to take the metadata out of your pictures, peepeth posts would be much easier to trace so its unlikely unless they are stupid

We probably don't have to tell you peepers because we're all ahead of the game here, but as a reminder: NOBODY IS JUST GIVING AWAY ETH. NOBODY. EVER.
This assumption is outrageous. If you send me 0.5 ETH you will get 10 ETH in return, and a nice pencil eraser as bonus.

It was my understanding that the vulnerabilities required physical access to the hw wallet. Just got back to a place with internet, will read your article suggestions.... but, is needing physical access still the case?
No with enough knowledge it could be done remotely.

These are two good articles about that topic:

Does anybody have experience with IDEX and/or RadarRelay for trading (not just buying once) through a Ledger Nano S? I want to get away from having all actively traded tokens on Binance, so looking for better and safer options.
And as someone who spends quite some time on penetration testing, I want to say I hope you update your Ledger Nano S frequently because right now there is one vulnerability after another found xD

@ayunknown , do you have experience with these (or similar) platforms? If not, may I ask where you are doing your trading?
Well to be fair I trade mostly CFDs, but for my just Crypto trading I have used Binance, and Bittrex but now I mostly use IDEX. Well I dont know about RadarRelay but on IDEX you still have to deposit the tokens to actually trade them.

Steemit: A pool full of Geek, nerds and some dangerous sharks swimming around. A geeks paradise and a playground for psychologists. The UI en UX need some revamping before the masses move over. I think many are waiting for the EOS launch tho... What do you think?
I think the problem with masses on these thing at the moment is that they saw the crypto spike so they know about bitcoin but most don't really understand the concept of blockchain etc yet so its mostly geeks and so on on these platforms at the moment. Give it some time 😂

I actually wanted to suggest to @bevan that the ETH address hyperlink out to etherscan.io directly, but figured it might be a little too stalkerish. What do you think?
At the moment I think it wouldn't because most people here know anyway about etherscan etc. but if the community eventually grows bigger it could for some people seem stalkerish yes haha

Feel free to open up any other topic! I think it is natural that this site drew in geeks first, so there will be lots of tech talk. But that doesn't mean other stuff isn't allowed/appreciated.
Agree with that, I think as time goes on and more people come in from different backgrounds that the topics will also change to other stuff.
