A walk in the Patagonian mountains. It started very sunny and warm. A few hours later, I was surrounded by deep snow and unable to continue walking. I camped in the only patch not covered in white. Being alone in the middle of nature. Priceless.
Thanks! :D

Have a good and safe one :) Are you planning on leaving a written trail of your journeys?
Thanks! Haven't thought about it. May be.

Ethereum has the largest developer community (250,000). Developers developers developers. This should mean that lots of things will get built on Ethereum. Peepeth!! It depends what you mean by win.
+1 this

Just landed in Tucson. There was literally (and I do mean literally) one plane here - the Southwest flight I took from LAX
It's normally not a busy airport or it's exceptional?

@layton Great googly groovy gratitude. Thanks so much for your Ensō!
Instead of just hard limit of 1 Enso/day. There could be an increment of the limit by the number of Ensos we receive. So one a day + Ensos received #makepeepethgreat

Peeps tend to be batched, with Peeps stored in IPFS. Adding state to the smart contract (currently stateless) would increase the cost of peeping.
Yes, you're right. perhaps for peeps is not a good solution, for a longer, more "valuable" post/article it might be.

It seems that Elon Musk's Twitter account is hacked. The Medium article links to a bogus ETH/BTC giveaway. https://medium.com/@BitcoinATK/aa186f874b7c
It’s not hacked. The “Elon Musk” tweeting the Medium article is a fake one (WAPNblog is the username) The one saying he wants ETH is the real one (elonmusk).

Metamask should introduce a feature that lets you temporarily "approve" a contract address, so you don't have to confirm each transaction you make with it. Would make Dapps a lot more user friendly.
I like it

2. It says "It is established above that there are two sets of token users: (1) speculators that (unknowingly) are participating in an unsustainable Ponzi scheme variant; (2) protocol service consumers and providers that create a supply removal time too insignificant."
3. Yet, they forget (a) those use the token as leverage off or on the blockchain (e.g. ETH for DAI), (b) staking. I reckon these two uses of a cryptoasset are important and they will become even more important. Their impact on the velocity of the token is huge.

yeah there was a discussion on going to allow edits via versioning, am sure this feature will roll out as part of the future roadmap
Great, thanks
Checked out http://gravity.cool gravatar on the blockchain It'll be cool to use it on #peepeth
On edit/delete issue. What about this? Add two variables to contract: Show & Version. 'show' variable indicates sender wants peep to be visible, default is True, sender can change it. Acts as 'delete' for frontends that implement feature. 'version', indicates last edit #peepeth

So if you really want to maintain the finality of peeps, then I've recommended an option to have the confirmation window be always on. You could also add a bit more friction to peeps via UI like a slide-to-peep instead of a button.
Like the idea of adding more friction to posting, yet a slider might too much. Perhaps double click on the button: Before clicking: "Post", After 1 click: "Sure?". Two clicks: "Posted"

Currently, it doesn’t appear to have any significant value. But in the future, if we are present with content from those we follow first, it’ll be of if more value. The biggest value I see now, is networking. As the family grows, it’s nice to be connected to some we’ve liked most
That's exactly my feeling too. Thanks.

Oh, of course. Thanks.
#peepeth what's the use of following people right now? Is there any feature that uses 'following'?

”So” = dai 10? "Very" =dai 100? How about rare words earn dai? Seems possible!
Yeah, rare words can earn money, but only when they are in the right context, otherwise people just add those words. Fees can be in Finneys (1 finney = 0.001 ETH), it sounds literary :) . "So" = 1 Finney, "more" = 5 Finney, "very" = 10 Finney.

warning: rant. why do people touch things that aren't theirs? today i came back from being on delivery, only to find that my personal spatula had been taken off my station and used for savory prep that stained and ruined my tool. worse yet, it has sentimental value attached. :(
Wow! Sorry for that. I'm curious (I know little about pastry-making), how the spatula got ruined by one use?
I got to a point I'm tired of anyone using superlatives, nouns and adjectives indiscriminately. So cheap to use them. May be we should give value to each type of word and pay for it.

Infrastructure built on Ethereum will have more cohesive and convergent effect than Aquis and all the new legislation by EU. (eg. ICOs becoming the easy way to raise money throughout EU)
That's applicable to any current governance structure based on modern liberal political frameworks, not only the EU. Yet, I wouldn't say this will have "more impact". European Communities, now the EU, were hugely disruptive, innovative and had big impact in their time.

You already have the Ensõ! But contrary of the "like", you have to be more selective as you can use it one time a day. Another plateforme another rules. It push to prioritize quality content & it's a limitation to bot and other spam like behavior
Don’t think the Enso is enough. Sth the indscriminate like and the scarce enso will be nice
Really need a like-like button

+1 on that. The European Union is a cost. It is not contributing much positive.
I disagree. The EU is the main reason why we’ve got stability and progress in Europe for so long #politics

It's amazing what Ethereum community is doing in Europe. It will have a more profound impact on European society and economy than European Union.
What do you mean by 'more profound impact on European society and economy'?

It would be great to have more detailed statistics on that. Could be very useful as an argument in discussions about the energy and cost efficiency of Ethereum and blockchain in general, besides PoS.
Yes @Bevan It'd be great if you publish info about the finance and sustainability of peepeth. Very useful also to discuss options.

I am with you David. Withdrawing most of my ETH from Peepeth real time.. Will give them a few days to reverse or I am out.
How do you withdraw any eth from peepeth if you haven’t sent any? You mean transferring out of the account you peep from ? If that’s so, that’s already in your pocket, you don’t need to withdraw anything.

We’ve had it and are at nerves end with anything that looks like censorship. I will kick back and remain vigilant. Censorship is the reason I discovered Peepeth.
We should be careful not to call wolf too early. That’s as counterproductive as never calling it. Censorship is a big word and should be used cautiously.

To be clear - is your proposed solution that posts from people/orgs you follow *never* get rolled up? (Would that be not safe for work and political posts, etc?) Or is it that you should have broad control over which tags get rolled up? Or... ?
I think both would be good: more control over roll-up tags and option to choose those you follow never get rolled-up
