#lkie this analogy. we must also remember that many of us in first world/more socialist or democratic nations are at a much greater advantage than those who are not in regard to free speech. twitter's right as a private company to censor pales in comparison to a great firewall.
Exactly, that's why I cannot take serious anyone from the US (or EU for that matter) who talks about infringed freedom of speech, when you can call your senator or protest using other channels and file any complaint, without being worried that you'll become a missing person tmrw.

Edit feature should still be possible to be coded to the smart contract, although the previous historical data will still be stored in the ledger (similar to how wayback machine works)
True. Another idea was to implement an edit feature on the front-end itself, which would allow for edits before committing peeps "to the blockchain". Not sure what @Bevan decided to go with in the end, if anything :)
This way it definitely makes you think twice, peep once :)

I guess it's like the volume of music. Some would like it quiet, some would like it loud, but most of us actually enjoy the volume that's somewhere in the middle. And the debate where's the middle is the freedom of speech.

Unfortunately no. But if you would post something (self-)incriminating or very private (hopefully by mistake), several people could report it as offensive or whatever, and it would be removed from the Peepeth (frontend). Could be still found on the blockchain though.

You were leading the way. You were paying blockchain transaction fees. When I first started using Peepeth, batch signing wasn’t working on the mobile dApp browsers so I had to pay transaction fees per peep.
@Carneous, early adoption was never easy...nor cheap. But there's something thrilling about it. I get the same rush of energy with new tech as when I sleep under stars.
