I would love to see transparency on moderation. Being able to see what has been moderated.
I wonder if there's a name for this principle! Transparent moderation?

The AI algorithms that lead to the bans are discriminating, so it's not indiscriminate. I suppose you could say that it's indiscriminate discrimination, but that's an oxymoron and it's excusing the original AI flaw. http://url.site25.net/7c

The algorithms discriminate, but in ways that humans cannot or do not comprehend. So that discrimination may be perceived as indiscriminate. I get your point that this is a bit of a paradox, but it makes sense to me.

Perhaps; or maybe Web3 pulls the price tag from under the cuff, and makes the censorship apparent. It can go either way.
I'll take apparent censorship over hidden censorship anyday
If ERC-20 tokens, ICOs, and shitcoins were Ethereum's first killer app, it's looking more and more like stablecoins, and $DAI in particular, are its second - and perhaps the first true realization of a broadly useful crypto _currency_. This opens up a universe of possibilities.

Peepeth front end is moderated, but anyone can peep via the smart contract or another front end. Moderation can be transparent as anyone can access the underlying data.
Yes, that's in line with my vision for Web3 - a censorship-resistant, open base layer and many UI layers built on top of that, which can include various forms of governance.
I don't know if Peepeth works well, I don't know if it will be around in a year, but you know what? It doesn't matter. Because this is Web3 and I own my data and can do with it as I please. What a liberating feeling.
Indiscriminate bans and censorship without justification are the first widespread case of AI abusing humans - whether it be your bank, social network, or sharing economy provider. Web3 is a bulwark against that censorship.

I'm annoyed that Twitter keeps bringing the banhammer down on my friends, so I'm taking a week-long hiatus. What better way to fill the time than finally trying out Peepeth? Hello, world!
