Two essays worth reading this weekend: http://www.aaronsw.com/weblog/hatethenews & http://www.dobelli.com/en/essays/news-diet/
Hola VPN got hacked to phish MyEtherWallet website. Can somebody explain to me why MEW users are not simply downloading the MEW index html from the repo and storing and launching it locally in the browser? It works, and it’s decentralized. Why rely on MEW online site?
Hey community of the future. I had this idea - imagine injecting nanobots into your bloodstream that would monitor blood particles and emit radio waves with data to your smart watch alerting about increased white cells indicating potential infection long before first symptoms :)
Took me several days to confirm the Twitter verification transaction. Ether slowness is my major concern for its future.
Flying a balloon :) if you’ve never tried it, I highly recommend it!

so how to vote on #EOS launch considering one messup can royally fuck you over: - use scatter (only if you trust them) - use a 3 step voting mechanism important stuff offl (complicated) - use CLI (complex) - use #EOSIO audited ui-wallet (joke, 4bn was not enough money :')
Do you expect eos launch to be the burst of its bubble?

Beautiful. I'm going.
I highly recommend, especially the Isle of Skye. However, the weather can be a bit tricky :) rain comes and goes unexpectedly.

Hello, World! I'm Jonathan Sampson, a web developer of 20+ years and an engineer on the Brave Browser (brave.com). Excited for the role blockchain tech will play in Social Networking moving forward.
Hi! Welcome and great to have you! Brave rocks :)

Thanks, good read and also some knowhow I hope to use soon.
9 years ago I challenged fellow devs to write a web app in at most 140 characters of code :) #throwback https://medium.com/f055/final-wrap-up-of-the-140-characters-webapp-challenge-fbcc1404890f

because other people can pin your ipfs data for you?
it would be nice if ipfs guaranteed data availability at all times. That’s the goal I guess.

I haven't even gotten to the point where I need to pay any fees. 2$ in gas to set my username? I am no Solidity dev, but that seems high af, even at 20 gwei per gas. No thanks.
This is my biggest grief with current blockchain games. Thats IAPs on steroids - the biggest cancer of mobile games already... would be nice to see blockchain used in mechanics, not just monetisation...

My thoughts on the key catalysts for ETH price increases over the next 6 to 12 months. https://www.reddit.com/r/ethtrader/comments/8la15x/catalysts_for_eth_price_increases_over_the_next_6/
Well balanced post, if only more cryptoredditors were this constructive :) how likely do you think it is we see a similar December high ride like last year?
By the looks of it, Peepeth also solves the accountability problem by saving peeps forever. btw I'm just rambling along as I explore it :)
The worst thing about social media today is automated spam and inflated virality. Peepeth solves this nicely–syncing to blockchain makes spamming expensive.
Hello, world! #Trust brought me here (thx, @vikmeup). This thing is great–it's like the beginning again, like the early days of the Web, what the euphoria of Web 2.0 was and what the crypto revolution of Web 3.0 is going to be.
