For your information, it clearly does support shutting down travel in and out of any affected city. But you obviously think you know better than all governments so why not go apply for a job at the UN or the WHO? I'm sure they would appreciate your superior knowledge.

What do you believe the positive effect for city X is, if city X shuts down travel *out* of city X during a pandemic?

What do you believe the positive effect of blocking travel *into* city X is if city X already has internal transmission of the virus?

Perhaps you are unaware that many of the major clusters are large cities - Madrid, New York, Moscow, London, etc? In your own country, the Manila NCR region has some 42% of cases. In these cases, restricting travel in and out of that area is effective.

Assuming Manila does in fact have more cases per capita (and not just more *testing* per capita, or more absolute cases), that still doesn't support the argument for shutting down travel *out of* Manila.

You've managed to miss the point entirely so well done. I was referring to travel within a country not international. You are also incorrect. North Korea has no recorded cases and also has no international travel.

North Korea also has severe economic problems, poverty issues, zero freedom, etc. due to lack of trade and travel. Ceasing trade and travel is not a "free" operation, it comes with a lot of costs that cause a lot of problems.

The virus is already present in basically every country/city in the world. Stopping people from traveling between countries at this point won't prevent any country from getting COVID-19 internally.

Even if there were countries without COVID-19 (and one believed that it was worth the cost of shutting down all foreign), then you would want to close *incoming* traffic to countries without internal COVID-19 spread. Closing *outgoing* traffic makes no sense.

At the most basic level, stopping an infected person in one area from going to another area and spreading it. It worked in Wuhan and could work everywhere else if applied correctly.

The virus is already present in basically every country/city in the world. Stopping people from traveling between countries at this point won't prevent any country from getting COVID-19 internally.

The travel restrictions are what really get me. I know that they're necessary but I'm not someone that likes to be in the same place for too long.

Why do you believe the travel restrictions are necessary? What do you think they accomplish?

Can anyone tell me hiw staking works in crypto currency

The very short version is that you "bet" on a thing and if you bet in line with eventual consensus then you get your bet back, sometimes plus a little extra. The specifics on how eventual consensus is reached varies greatly between systems.

I am trying out a boycott on Twitter/Facebook/YouTube because of their recent foray into censorship of scientific opinion that disagrees with the popular opinion. Here is my first peep to christen the attempt.

My issue isn't that I believe they are censoring a *correct* scientific opinion, but that they are censoring *any* scientific opinion. I think even flat earthers (a group I strongly disagree with) deserve the opportunity to share their opinions/beliefs on the internet.
