If #EOS can deliver 600 TPS and a working smartcontract platform, well, then say goodbye to all other platforms that do not scale.
No we won't. Its at a massive cost of decentralisation and censorship resistance. Those things are what give ETH value. EOS is a compromise but if you can make that compromise, why not just use AWS?

Realistically, when do we think ETH will scale up to 50TPS+ and is it likely that other dApp platforms will have gained too much momentum before that? I mean on mainnet.

It's sad so many people saw Vitalik quoting the Emin article as 'proof' he didn't agree with Bancor. He actually says the article is wrong. Anyway volumes speak. Bancor is easy to use and provides liquidity where it was lacking. You have to respect them fit this feat.

Infura (ConsenSys) run IPFS nodes.
So basically the whole thing is being bankrolled by ConsenSys at the moment until FileCoin comes online and millions of people's spare hard disks provide the capacity? At which point the funding model needs to change as providers require micropayments for their storage?

Are there any IPFS large scale storage platforms up and running yet (like Filecoin)? I'm fascinated by where the storage comes from to underpin the system.

So what do people think of Bancor? It's either a complete mess or massively misunderstood. The main net implementation seems to be going strong though and they seem to have solved the DEX liquidity issue, at least for now. If you consider it solved that Is

Anyone have thoughts on this? Trying to get a sense of how censorship resistant Peepeth is. If a government “blocked” Peepeth, how easy/difficult would that be?
That's a general Internet block issue. If they use a VPN, they can access it. The censorship thing is more about not being able to delete stuff.

Only when you need to. Peeps gp out without saving if you're logged in. It effectively opens an offchain channel and then you close it after 15 interactions

Steemit: A pool full of Geek, nerds and some dangerous sharks swimming around. A geeks paradise and a playground for psychologists. The UI en UX need some revamping before the masses move over. I think many are waiting for the EOS launch tho... What do you think?
Is there some relationship between the two other than the founder? Will EOS help Steemit in any way?
