We recorded this back in 2013 with Thornwill. Unfortunately, I'm not in the band anymore, but it was hell of a lot fun to make this video.

Key ring. Contains your private keys and nothing more.
Key ring is a good one. It separates the idea of identity and the ownership of tokens. We could call the key pairs "accounts". It would be closer to the truth than wallet, and it could aid adoption, as it's a familiar term. Blockchain account sounds friendlier than crypto wallet.

What's your LinkedIn? I might be able to find someone to hook you up... https://www.linkedin.com/in/jamesscaur/
I sent you a connection request on LinkedIn, but here's the link just in case: https://www.linkedin.com/in/%C3%A1lmos-g%C3%A1bor-84337772/
I think people would understand wallets a lot easier if they weren't called "wallets". It sounds like something you put things into, when really it's just an electronic identifier. What would you call them?

If you want a great non-blockchain but still decentralised alternative to Textile, try https://pixelfed.social
I will definitely check it out, although I'm specifically interested in blockchain dapps, as I'm trying to learn more about the technology and the application of it. I'd also like to land a Dapp developer contract to gain come hands on experience. BTW: this community is awesome!

I agree. Check out https://cent.co, https://textile.photos and the Blockstack Dapp Store: http://app.co/
Thank you, James! I need to spend some time with cent.co to really understand the concept. I joined the waiting list for textile.photos. I'll probably be using it, it's an awesome idea. Good suggestions!
The biggest holdback for blockchain adoption IMO are buying coins and having to pay for every transaction. Peepeth made transactions free for all users, which is a step in the right direction. What other dapps do you know that address these issues in a user friendly way?

What's the best memory you have that involves a keyboard? ⌨
I remember the day when I was playing Titus on my 286 after school and finally got how to play without looking at the keyboard. :) Good times.

My speculation is that we're still running off of the donations from the original donation drive. It's not expensive to pay gas as I remember doing it when I first got here. 15 peeps is a few cents. That may have changed due to the price of eth but it can't be much.
They are bridging the huge gap between UX and decentralisation quite nicely. I wonder if this is scalable only running on donations. I can't wait to see where Peepeth is going to take this.

They're being paid for by peepeth.
Thanks. I eventually found the post about it: https://medium.com/coinmonks/evolution-of-decentralised-social-media-dfe567d23e54
Who's paying peepeth, though? :) How are they monetizing the network?

Hi Peepeth community! I just joined, and I'm interested to see how a decentralized social network is different.
There's one thing I can't really grasp here. Writes to the blockchain cost gas, don't they? How come saving my posts to the blockchain is free?
