So tired of ETH scams on Twitter. Is anyone else regularly using Peepeth?
Welcome Laura!
I don’t think pegged #Ethereum tokens are important for mass adoptions at all. In fact I think they may do harm because it lengthens the time users think of value in terms of fiat. Want to propel adoption? Make a friendly app. You know, one your mom can handle.

3. Since it’s inception in 1992 The @Innocence Project (a most inspiring organization) has helped 13 wrongfully convicted people off death row. 13 people, innocent of the crime they were convicted for, would have been murdered by state actors had @Innocence not intervened.
4. It’s distressing to think about the ones who were missed. There is nothing more vile than the murder an innocent person. Since state actors wrongfully condemn innocent people to die, we have to take this power from them.

2. Innocent people have without a doubt been arrested, prosecuted, found guilty by a collection of their peers, sentenced by a judge, and put to death by the state. This has happened/is happening.

1. For some this is a controversial issue, and I have heard plenty of cogent arguments from people who support the death penalty. But no one on that side of things can argue away the one escapable truth of that ghastly endeavor.

In #NH, both legislative bodies voted to repeal the death penalty; the House by a landslide. Let’s hope @GovChrisSununu does the right thing and signs it into law.

Oh, nice one @peepeth! I noticed now when choose to sign in, Metamask opens up automatically. The first time I was asked to sign in, it took me a minute to determine where.
Awesome! Looking forward to using it.

2/2 They offer 'cloud mining' and seem to be huge. He sent me a 'business presentation' (another dude giving a bullshit speech about earning possibilities on an unlisted youtube channel) and made an appointment with me for a 'call with an expert'. Any ideas on how to play this?
It seems pretty scammy to me, and unnecessary. Instead of trusting people I don't know with my funds, I just buy the crypto I'm interested in. In your shoes I would ignore them.

I kept doing that too. You can disable tweeting by default in settings. then you need to manually select it when peeping.
Oh, I know how :) I just forget. I do prefer keeping it on by default and deselecting each peep I don't want to tweet, but I'm bad at that right now.
Shoot. I keep tweeting my peeps replies, so my Twitter followers have no idea what I'm referring to.

I’m wondering if there’s an (almost universally) agreeable place to draw the line though. “No photos ever” seems unrealistic. Part of having a child is that they become part of who you are by definition. Is the line drawn at embarrassing moments? Health issues? Dificult to say.
I'm personally pretty black and white about this topic. I would share none. Just as I would never physically alter their body (that's also for them to decide when they're adults) I would never give up their privacy.

It's definitely still granting users as the number of new users has been increasing consistently, however, I'm not sure about granting organizations as users...
Thank you. I have seen other orgs on here.

On a platform like Peepeth, there is no central backing corporation, but the data is arguably “forever” and not something they’ll ever be able to undo if they are older. I’m trying to think through how’d I’d feel as an adult if my parents openly shared my childhood. (2/2)
I am not a parent, but I also deem it unfair for one to post images of one's children on social media for the reason you mentioned. They either cannot give consent, or if they give it they may not understand the full repercussions of that decision.
Does anyone know if #Peepeth has stopped granting new users? Or are the not granting organizations as users? I've been trying to add my organization for over a week with no response.

@matthewcarano how did the blockchain conference go?
It was great. A Manchester Meetup actually and we had awesome conversation.
This is "The Freecast', a hyper-local podcast where we discuss news and events on the Freecoast, in the Free State. It's better in NH. This week: Death, taxes, and Bearcats. http://freecoastfreecast.libsyn.com/s03e02-death-and-taxes?tdest_id=584798

Crypto Podcast Rec's 1. Unchained with @laurashin 2. Unconfirmed also 3. BlockChannel with @Steven_McKie 4. The ICO Alert Podcast (although they've switched to an everything EOS format, and it's pretty cheerleadery, but it's still interesting) what else? I need deep dives.
Neocash Radio is a good one: http://neocashradio.com/

Yep, see you there!
Right on!
Just purchased my ticket to Edcon. Anyone else going? https://edcon.io/
This is what I'm thinking about right now. In #NH there is a movement to repeal the death penalty, which I support of course. Dissenting police chief says this "When you assault certain aspects of our community, that is an assault on the entire state." A sentence with no meaning.

Is there another way to achieve censorship resistance besides decentralization? I can't name it. Censorship is only possible where centralized institutions exist.
Signal is amazing. I would still consider this as decentralization thwarting censorship. Signal is an open source protocol being used to resist censorship from centralized mediums.
Time to save my 9 actions to the Blockchain. What a cool idea to batch them Peepeth!

I agree, decentralization is the only tool proven to achieve censorship resistance. I guess you could say Democracy was a tool to achieve the same thing (free speech and all that), but we all know how that worked out.
Oh yeah - democracy is mob rule, the antithesis of individual rights. Censorship resistance, by way of decentralization prohibits any actor from coming in between two consenting people interacting - essential for individual rights.

Yeah, it's important that decentralization isn't a goal; It's a tool to achieve the goal of censorship resistance.

Over in Swarm City we keep encountering industry firsts. We were one of the first ICOs. We had the first ETH brand fork - from Arcade City to Swarm City. We've experienced an ETH wallet hack. Now, there's a project building Swarm City on EOS. And I love it all. Learned a ton.
Let it be known that blockchain technology is the promise of decentralization. Decentralization is more than a buzz word - it is a commitment to resist censorship. Every action we take is an expression of our being. Decentralization thwarts those who would censor that expression.
