If you're into Ethereum money games, check out PlayEscalation.com It's really suspenseful and fun to watch.
Always keep your eye on the person in second place. They're the only person who stands to lose money, and you just KNOW that they are nervous af watching that countdown timer.

A new round just started at https://playescalation.com 🔥 Only one person loses per round, everyone else makes 10%-20% profit in 30 mins or less. 💸 Dozens can play, only one can lose. 🍀 Gas prices are finally low enough that early plays are profitable again. ⛽️ Time for some 🍿
And that round of the game is over! 🏁 Of the 17 people who played, 1 lost, and 16 left with more money than they started with. 💸💸 I love watching this game. https://playescalation.com 🍀 I have an Etherscan alert set so I get notified every time a new game starts.

You can look at the contract history on Etherscan. It has gone through 255 rounds so far and almost every single account that has interacted with it has made money. But high gas prices can eat away at your profits early in the game. That's prob why it is not used much right now
Another good one is https://PoolTogether.com. The expected returns are not as high as https://playescalation.com, but it is safer. Nobody ever loses money on PoolTogether.

The highest returns I've seen are from https://playescalation.com/ . It yields 10% - 20% profit or more every hour, and almost everyone makes money. It is also the least risky that I've seen. Only one person loses money per round. It is worth looking at if you haven't already.

What DeFi projects that you've seen provide the best returns? As in the most profit in the least amount of time with the least risk?
I know they are all risky, but are there any where most people make money instead of lose money?

Uniswap really is an incredible thing if you think about it. https://uniswap.org/
Nobody has to be trusted to set the price. It automatically sets a fair price without anyone in the world trusting anyone else in the world. This is not possible without blockchains.

I think it is hard for some smart contract devs to fully let go of control of their code. So many seem to hold on with admin keys, or controlling shares of some governance process. I think it is sometimes more of an emotional response than a practical one.
If you love something, let it go.

This game contract has a bug: When nobody is playing it, anyone can slowly drain the contract of all its ETH. This has happened before, but the contract keeps getting topped up. https://etherscan.io/address/0xef12be74eeadda185fb08814c7d32e7934b0a5ca
Actually, it turns out this is not a bug. It is meant to work that way! So yes, you can slowly drain the contract, but no that is not a bug. Based on the FAQ I guess it is meant to ensure there is always someone around to play against. FAQ is here: https://playescalation.com

You can drain it of 0.005 ETH every 30 minutes.
It is a VERY slow process.
But if you look at the Etherscan history you can see that people have entirely drained it multiple times in the past.
That takes some real patience!

I like the concept of PoolTogether. I want to see more no-loss money games on Ethereum. https://www.pooltogether.com/
I like the idea that there can be winners without losers.
We need more of that in the world.

Theory: Hal's see's Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto's name on a mailbox during his daily walk, and uses it as the name for the pseudonymous author of the paper he's writing with a few of his cypherpunk friends.
Deep down though, you know it's true. ;)

Hal Finney lived just a few blocks away from Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto. Just sayin'.
