Familiar with the EOS delegate system? Nodes are selected randomly to participate in voting from a pool of nodes which have all passed through an application process.

Yes. I don't believe the randomness is great enough. Dfinity's Threshold Relay / Random Beacon consensus mechanism seems more in the direction / promising, but I've yet to do a full dive.

I would have to argue that a lottery system is like our current jury selection system. Good in theory, but just embarrassing in practice. Incentivized based systems have more potential, but are still vulnerable to the same corruption of power.

Fruitful systems must incorporate both. Dynamic mechanism based systems that "flex" through randomness. Striking the right balance between exploration (i.e. things we don't know) and exploitation (i.e. things we do know from learning).

Groups that burden the task of filtration end up in a position of power where they are corruptible, or succumb to the desires of the people creating an echo chamber.

Crowd based filtration = decentralized governance. Aka amortizing decisions across masses (people or bots).

Social platforms should think to: a) open themselves up to curating AI bots, b) Incentive the crowd via token economics (ie. reputation, stakes, time-based veto, etc.)

Further Defining: Design is about the: 1) Need of users via UI/UX for accomplishing actions on information, and 2) Psychology via "MD/GT" i.e. Mechanism Design & Game Theory for meeting incentives.

The Internet / Computing have helped us HOW we express ourselves on the internet via peripherals / devices (UI/UX).

Blockchain / Crypto will enable WHY we express / identify ourselves via Politically = governance, Socially = speech / code, and Economically = value transfer.

Exactly. Read my next post. Delegation is key. Interesting: Value optimization curves for simple choice architectures. Aka Good Design.

while choice is fantastic, remember 99% of people in the world don't care/want to make these choices. if we want to scale we must operate outside of cryptos libertarian hive mind. devs should take heed from behavioral econ. maximize choice but have simple choice architectures.

Instantaneous Identity is about selectivity & choice. Selectivity provided by @Peepeth (Inputs). Choice provided by the individual (Compression). How can I choose my AI based on my beliefs & reputation? How can I use the same AI model (Outputs) that @naval or @jack uses?

Increased complexity requires us to delegate compression to others. Democratization of immutable Protocols (value transfer) and AI (value creation) will be about User choice. Intellectual Curation will move from “curation-of-things" to “curation-of-bots-curating-things”.

Great time to launch @Peepeth. During times of a market trough, the Blockchain enthusiasts / tinkerers are still building the future societal shifts. Feature: When a pour of irrational / dopamine seeking "when-peepeth-ICO?" type join, how can I filter/curate?

Speech / Code is our identity. Instantaneous identity is mutable. Peepeth is immutable. Identity follows a trajectory through time. This is why I look forward to the authentic discourse on Peepeth. Feature: State channels for discourse on a topic, with on-chain settlement/post.
