Libraries are an under-appreciated and underpriced asset. They are buildings where anyone can think, read, and work distraction-free in silence, surrounded by information access portals. As we scale noisy spaces, we must scale calm spaces.
These platforms will hopefully be a calmer version of Twitter. Ad-based systems distract and annoy, treating your attention as the asset. Being free from distraction is the real asset to incentivize around.
