To get to the about page, click on your profile pic and you get a menu. I thought the monetisation of percentage of tips and verification was clear. Though appears may need to be even more so.

Even on the About page the note on tipping percentage is hidden by default. To me this suggests it is not immediately important information. That Peepeth takes a percentage should be front-and-centre. It is important and should not be hidden.

Following is an action, maybe that's it?

I think you're right. Still, it would be nice for a list of what the unsaved actions are.

Possible bug @bevan. This shows two unsaved actions, but I'm sure it should be just one. Would it be possible to list unsaved actions? #featurerequest :)

I thought Peepeth taking a percentage of tips was pretty clear on the About page, but apparently not. @bevan #suggestion

Disagree. I can't even access the About page. There is a note for percentage taken from a tip is available at the time of tipping, but is hidden. @bevan obviously thinks the note is important. I'm worried that it is hidden by default. Skeptical part of me wants to call it sly...

1. No more tipping until Peepeth.com is upfront and clear that it takes a 10% cut of the tip. It shouldn't be a hidden note.

2. Why are only integer tips allowed?

One concern of mine is that bitcoin's transaction fees may make it unsuitable for small transactions. Peep is many small transactions. Does ethereum (and peepeth) suffer the same problem? Or is it a problem at all? Am I being silly?

Apr 12, 2018 19:30

So I don't know much about bitcoin nor the blockchain. I know a little. Maybe enough to pretend to be knowledgeable in passing conversation. I know even less about Ethereum. Can you guys share some (in your opinion) helpful reading lists? Maybe there's a tip in it for u #balling

You're really good at pressing random buttons.

Keep the compliments coming.

Just started an IRC channel on freenode: #peepeth. Stop by for non-blockchain indexed conversation :)

How does this get out to the front-end immediately? Why is the blockchain needed if it gets out ahead of the blockchain? Admittedly I know essentially nothing about the blockchain (and its hype), so these questions are ignorant but honest.

To answer my own question: "Your Peeps are currently saved to [...] and on Peepeth's servers, but are not indexed on the blockchain. Saving to the blockchain will make your Peeps available to anybody with access to the Ethereum network and IPFS." Peeps not on BlCh can be censored

The fact that it can't be deleted is a feature, not a bug. It may take some time to propagate on the blockchain, but users see it on the front-end right away. The cost is debatable, but I personally don't see it as a problem since you can choose when to send a batch below 15 TX
