Agreed, unless we can go from $ -> Metamask (or other wallet) in minutes, we`re still far away from adoption.
the buy button works IIRC

A comment on how interesting Peepeth has been for me: as a non-tech peep, 90% of conversations go over my head but I still enjoy reading it all. I'm really excited & I think a lot of that has to do with how little I understand everything. Cheers, peeps! You're all good in my book
hey, were all good. although i just dropped a discord link for a server, so you can join for even more discussion
https://discord.gg/jcAJK4t I made a community discord. Fun times. The other one's gonna get deleted probably. It's cooler here don't worry. Be sure to leave suggestions in #suggestions

Yeah thought about that the last time I was on discord, that it would be pretty neat if there was a channel haha
Well, let's do it then. Small problem, idk if we can get like names across without making them public soo
Yo, if anyone wants to get a telegram/discord chat going that would be grand IMO

Should I switch from #Cipher? #Coinbase acquired them recently, not sure where that’s heading
Eh, cipher's still fine, and trust you have to pasta your priv key, but other than that if you TRUST #Trust wallet then you're good. i just like the design and the fact that tokens appear automagically.

Roughly 10 peeps per peeper. How many peeps should peeper peep if a peeper wants an ether?
If an ether is what a peeper wants to keeper, than greater than average and high quality posts is what you want to peep here.

Wow this look amazing.
you look like you need gas do you need donations or do you got it?
@Bevan why don't we get a telegram chat going while we're waiting on dms? we can get a good community member to set it up, or I can if you want.

Thanks buddy, Cipher looks solid - I'd heard of it as a wallet but not as a browser. - I think I'll be integrating it into projects!
#Trust wallet is fine and dandy, and the dev's on peepeth as well!

Someone explain blockchain to me? And remember I am 7
an ELI5 of blockchain is pretty simple (like this is a massive simplification) it is that someone set up a specific set of rules, and someone somehow generates transactions, then said transactions are verified in groups called blocks. On ethereum we do computing with blocks.

haha, i know right?? there are definitely a lot of optimizations they could've done in the code to lower gas use. luckily even if you just do the free (e.g. only tx fees) stuff, you can earn back at least some of the tx fees
yah i don't need to spend 0.01 eth for 10 goo a second when i can wait a day, spend only gas, and get like 150 goo a second

to be fair, i'm giving away as much of my identity by peeping than if i were tweeting. I was referring to the fact that half the content on twitter is paid advertising, so if you're on twitter 2 hours a day, an hour of that is ads. that's worth more than all my peepeth tx fees
that is fair but still now your identity is no longer also being taken by twitter, and being analyzed for targeted ads

yeah, you should be extremely worried about your sanity. combines 2 of my favorite things: blockchain and idle games. my productivity is way down the last few days...
dude i love idle games and now i can do it on the ethereum blockchain
small problem, the only problem
gAS SO EXPENSIVE TO BUY STUFF OMG .30 USD ReALLY?

Gas is a necessary evil. Hopefully in the future it can be abstracted away from the user via automated DEX conversion of tokens like BAT to WETH and account abstraction.
I completly agree. On another note, how much have you been using ethergoo. Your etherscan looks like you've been doing alot. Should I be worried about my own sanity?

Hello @everyone on Peepeth! I'm haulin from Suriname South America and I have had a need to fart my brainwaves by way of microblogging for years. What makes Peepeth better than Twitter?
did i mention that we can throw money at each other? hope this can cover some gas bb

How you doing? welcome to peepeth. we got some great people here, join us. it's better than twitter because it's uncensorable and we can throw money at each other.

What @flygoing just said! I recently set it up and hopefully will see some movement.
i wonder if it can pay gas please tell me it can pay gas also gastoken's pretty cool point is gas is annoying and i wish for it to stop

No, same platform. Brave is a browser. It would just inject ads into the websites you're own and you would earn BAT, which is an ERC20 so you can use your same Ethereum address. No changes to Peepeth would be needed.
Love your icon, who did it, and do they take commisions?

Stats of peepers and number of peeps. The number of peeps is the more important metric in my opinion. Should break 10,000 soon. https://peepeth.com/stats
I'm happy to know I'm a little less than 1% of that

I started with Solidity, when I discovered smart contracts I dove in head first. It's like learning a language you just have to study, practice, and surround yourself with it. I'm far from an expert but Dapps take quite a few languages to completely develop.
so your first language was solidity? damn, well played.

It could undermine permance and thoughtfulness, very true. I think it should not be batchable, or add an extra 5 cents to deter abuse.
wait what add 5 cents on what

are you referring to the ethereum network fees? none of that goes to peepeth, it goes to the miners
until it goes to the stakers (soon hopefully)

I was testing some smart contracts the screen has the Solidity compiler remix in the middle, Node.js cli on the right, command prompt on the left, and If I had room on the screen you would be able to see the windows from the ipfs node, react, GitHub, cpanel and......... !
damn dude, doing work. I'm just starting to learn html lol we all start somewhere ok

Sorry I'm not sure, but probably. The only VPNs that don't work in China are the ones made in China.
china isn't very good about keeping their great firewall intact, are they? well, all the better for you.

Yep just use a VPN. I recommend Astrill or Express. Sometimes my posts end up out-of-order time-wise, but it's not a big deal. Bevan's working on a work-around.
tor work?

who cares if they're saved forever and ever you just gotta have a good time, it'll come with being here don't worry.

As a graphic designer I am always looking for ways a creative can be paid in the most non-obtrusive way. Recently found out about the #CanYa and #Latium projects, seems close. Looking forward to a way that artists can get paid directly one day from a client using their own UI.
someone will probably take your art. It's a real shame that everyone on the internet does though, discourages people from making art then putting it on the net. What did we learn? go after art thieves and make sure to ask them for at the least attribution and at the most deletion

Peepethsphere, @flex has an SLA 3D printer (Formlabs Form 1+) that I picked up for a steal on impulse at a police auction. Might use it for a crypto project where we allow people to pay for prints in ETH, but for now we're taking suggestions on what to print, give us some inspo.
i want a eth printed
idc how it looks and i'll pay
@vikmeup you have default background pls change unless you like turtles then whatever
we should make it so that gas can be payed with actual gasoline and it's price fluctuations.
i'm lacking in eyesight
