Hello World
Welcome!
Pretty impressive police work after that Toronto van attack. Attacker clearly trying to provoke his own martyrdom but police show restraint, now have chance to get more useful info out of the guy.

If it's not worth at least $1, then it's probably not worth committing to an immutable platform for the rest of eternity. ;) @Myxomop
I don't feel super strongly about it, but in the absence of a favorite button, cheap tips seem like a good way to interact with peeps more frequently. Also, I'm not sure I should have to like a peep $1 worth in order to express it. Otherwise we might get too much "same" peeps.

Yes, this is what I was thinking. The data must be freely accessible to anyone that knows how to read it on chain.
I think that's more feature than bug. It means other "browsers" and apps could be built offering different flavors. I think it also means that you could tweak the algorithms to, unlike Twitter or FB, encourage people to interact more outside their cultural and political bubbles.

I think it's great... that way you make sure that no one sells your data... Plus $0.01, it'll take me a long time until I peeped one buck away ;)
Just in case ...
Have any staking pools/services announced yet? I'm wondering if exchanges and custodial vault services are going to start offering staking to their clients.

For me, the neatest thing about Peepeth right now is not what will make it awesome in the long run (decentralization + great execution). I keep coming back every day because of the 'peeple'. A small group of early adopters that burn gas as a utility and understand the ecosystem.
Just arrived. Impressed that there already seems to be the critical mass necessary to create that sense that something new has happened each time you refresh. Seems like an important hurdle for an early-stage social platform.
Er, just posting this because I want to see how links work on the platform. Cool site if you're in the US and want to know where you can just pull off the side of the road and camp without getting in trouble:
