Yes currently the fees are very high. That will change hopefully next year when Ethereum 2.0 is fully implemented. Maybe it needs one with multi-chain interoperability such as Komodo which can handle blockchains such as Bitcoin, Ethereum and Dash.

I think Dash will use secondary chain for his daps not his main chain. There is a good podcast with some Dash developer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ns4g7TbQSOU and also this article https://blog.dash.org/introducing-the-platform-chain-982fe6aea67f

How would a good solution looks like for you? I think for me it would look a lot how Peepeth is build. Web3 wallet, IPFS for storage and Ethereum and later on other blockchains for signing and donations. Implementation of 3Box would also be nice.

So far, it's quite an innovative technology, so I have no idea what exactly will work in the future. I know that Dash is also building some environment for decentralized applications and ETH has quite high fees, which may be a problem in the future.

I just want to gave it a try, but no Web3 wallet support. I am tired of creating accounts for decentralized/crypto services while there is such a thing as web3 wallets for it :-( Peepeth is doing well on it.

Yes, unfortunately, this service is not decentralized and does not support web3 wallets. But on the other hand it pays out crypto every week and you can transfer it wherever you want. It is probably better service than Steemit and unfortunately there is nothing better yet.

Have you tried https://www.publish0x.com?a=l9avg678bG? You can get crypto currency for writing articles. Similar system to medium.com, just with cryptocurrencies. I have an account there, but I haven't had time to write anything yet :-)

Peepeth relies on a single developer. I've suggested in 2019 that it could be integrated with Mastodon, so storing data would be federated instead of centralized. I'm with an project of a poster for Peepeth, but it will require txs with fees.

One dev and no open source code...doesn't sound good for the future of project.

Reported that months ago to @bevan. Hope that this site takes attention back from its devs. Since 2019 without updates (although maintaining is still active like its developer).

Too bad this is not open source project. No one else can update or manage the project, so we have to rely on a few developers. It looks like a good project, so I hope he doesn't die.

What are some ways this network is better than say FB and similar.. How does block chain improve social networks? I'm new and curious

It is decentralized and messages cant be edited or deleted. So less cenzorship, you can just hide messages but cant delete them. Also no ads. You can run your own frontend with your own rules if this will be down or will not suit you.

Nice. I guess they really don't want anyone to go there :-)

Zkouším poslat Peep :-D Snad to bude fungovat!
