Well technically anybody can just check the tx hash and see the source. A little sleuthing and one can see where the funds from the social account arrived from. Separating the accounts just makes it a little less visible.
If I want to do that, I just fund the new wallet directly from an exchange. Anyone snooping will only know that you have an exchange account. Of course that won't help with a govt subpoena but if that happens you have bigger problems..
